How to Grow Fittonia. For a pop of colour in the office, house or even the bathroom, nothing compares to Nerve Plants. These low growing, trailing wonders come in a variety of colours from hues of pink and green with white veins or the mesmerising green with pink veins. Great for growing in pots, shaded areas of the garden or in terrariums. 1 2 The fittonia is snuggled up with a (small!) parlour palm, trailing ivy + a peace lily + has grown slowly but steadily in a creeping form + looks really good around the base of the others! As they are huddled together, the plants will create their own little eco-system which is why multi-planting can really work well in this way. 3 4 Fittonia will only grow to only around 15cm tall but can spread up to 20cm wide if given enough room. A small pot 10cm in diameter is usually large enough to keep them happy. Ensure the pot has adequate drainage holes and use a good quality potting mix. 5 Fittonia are compact plants with striking patterned foliage. Fittonia are fairly easy to care for–they can tolerate a range of lighting conditions and like to be kept moist. They prefer humid environments and will benefit from regular misting. 6 Your Fittonia prefers bright, indirect light. Lower light can cause it to lose some of its vibrant color and growth will slow. Too much light can burn the leaves. Water. Your Fittonia loves water and to be consistently moist, but not soggy. Water thoroughly when the top 25% of soil is dry. 7 8 Åderblad trivs bäst i dämpat solljus eller i halvskugga. 9 Om Fittonia mix är dåligt skött, börjar det göra ont. 10
